Not a franchise. Not a call centre. Not a rotating cast of subcontractors. Just one bloke who treats your equipment the way twelve years on offshore rigs taught him to treat anything that can't afford to fail.
Before Blue Avenue, I spent twelve years offshore — FIFO rigging and scaffolding. That's an industry with zero tolerance for "she'll be right." Everything gets inspected properly, every fitting gets checked twice, and if something's not right, it doesn't get signed off. That's the standard I was trained to work to, and it's the standard I run this business on.
I started Blue Avenue Pools because the Gold Coast pool industry runs on the opposite standard — a five-minute splash of chemicals, an invoice, and a guy you can't get on the phone. I wanted to build the business I'd actually want servicing my own pool: someone who checks the equipment properly, tells you the truth about what it needs, and turns up when they say they will.
I'm based in Elanora, and every pool on our books gets serviced by me — not a subcontractor, not whoever's rostered on. If you've got a question about your pool, you're talking to the person who actually looked at it.
Pool equipment is mechanical — pumps, valves, sensors, fittings under pressure. That's exactly the kind of thing twelve years of offshore inspection work trains you to actually look at properly, instead of glancing at the water and calling it done. It's why Blue Avenue checks and services every piece of equipment on every visit, not just the chlorine level — and why we guarantee the result: cleaned to resort standard, or we're back the next day, free.
